Overview
Okavyx is a private AI platform operated by Steve Orville as a registered sole trader in South Australia. This policy explains how we handle data across our services.
What We Collect
- Account information: Your name and email address via Google OAuth sign-in.
- Chat messages: Conversations with Chester (our AI assistant) are stored server-side to provide persistent chat history.
- Usage data: Basic server logs including IP addresses, request timestamps, and pages visited for operational and security purposes.
- Uploaded files: Files you upload through chat or Relay are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 24 hours.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain our AI assistant and platform services.
- To authenticate your identity and manage access.
- To improve service reliability and diagnose technical issues.

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on privately managed infrastructure in Australia.
- Authentication uses JWT tokens with httpOnly, secure cookies.
- Secrets and credentials are stored in encrypted system keychains, never in plain text.
- Access to admin features is restricted to authorised email addresses.
Data Retention
- Chat history: Retained until you delete it, or your account is removed.
- Uploaded files: Auto-deleted after 24 hours.
- Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. You can also revoke Google OAuth access from your Google Account permissions page.
Access
Okavyx is a private, invite-only platform. Access is granted at the discretion of the operator.
